These are treatment options that temporarily treat moderate to severe fine lines and wrinkles on the face.
How It Works
When people squint or frown, they are using muscles in their around their eyes, forehead and between their eyebrows. Every time the muscles contract, it causes the skin to fold a bit more which breaks down the collagen below. Over time, these repeated movements can cause frown lines.
Botulinum toxin injectables prevent muscle fibers from contracting, therefore temporarily reducing the fine lines they create. The prevention of the muscle contraction and skin creasing, also allows the skin to rest and rebuild your own collagen to fill the lines.
What to Expect After Treatment
This treatment requires little to no downtime following the procedure. Patients will notice results 24 to 48 hours after treatment, but full results are visible within 30 days. Overall results vary from patient to patient, so Dr. Kingsley plans follow-up appointments based on each individual case. Treatments are typically every three to four months.
DAXXIFY®
DAXXIFY is the first and only peptide-powered, FDA-approved frown line treatment.
How It Works
DAXXIFY injections temporarily relax the underlying muscles that cause severe wrinkles and frown lines.
What to Expect After DAXXIFY® Treatment
Little to no downtime is expected after DAXXIFY treatments. Some patients may experience minor swelling and tenderness around the injection site. The treatment lasts about six months for most patients.
