Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a sugar produced by the body that retains moisture and volume in the skin. HA fillers are used to temporarily restore volume lost in certain areas of the face like cheeks, lips or the chin. Dr. Kingsley offers various types of HA fillers, including (but not limited to):

  • JUVÉDERM®
  • Voluma
  • Vollure
  • Volux
  • RHA Redensity™
  • Restylane
  • Ravanesse® Versa™
  • SKINVIVE™

How It Works

These treatment options represent the latest advancement in HA technology, using a manufacturing process closely resembling the natural HA our body creates. After being injected into a designated area of the face, they add volume and create long-lasting, natural-looking results. Depending on the area being treated and the type of filler used, the injectable gels can take 15 to 60 minutes to administer.

What to Expect After Treatment

Patients will see results immediately after their procedure, and they can last up to six months to   two years depending on specific filler and location. Factors that may affect the longevity of a treatment are the area treated and formula used.  Bruising may occur, so patients should avoid blood thinners about 10 days prior to the procedure and don’t have big plans the week after.

Calcium Hydroxyapatite Fillers

Radiesse®
Radiesse injectables are the first and only calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) injectable treatment offered in the United States. These fillers are used to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Radiesse is usually used to treat areas around the mouth, hands and jawline.

How It Works

The CaHA particles used in Radiesse injectables revitalize the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. The newly-formed collagen and elastin creates a renewed skin structure and smooths out fine lines. This treatment provides immediate improvement in reducing facial wrinkles and results in long-time improvement.

What to Expect After Treatment

Results are immediate and can last up to one year or more. Bruising may occur, so patients should avoid blood thinners about 10 days prior to the procedure and don’t have big plans the week after.

BeforeAfter

Full face rejuvenation with filler and botulinum toxin.

Poly-L-lactic Acid (PLLA) Fillers

Sculptra®
Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable that helps replace collagen in a designated area. This treatment uses a biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) to gradually improve smile lines, marionette lines and chin wrinkles.

How It Works

After injection, the PLLA found in Sculptra helps revitalize collagen production. The rebuilt collagen strands then gradually restore facial volume. Over time, the collagen growth dramatically improves the look of wrinkles and fine lines. On average, three treatment sessions over the course of a few months are needed. The number of injections and appointments may vary depending on the patient.

What to Expect After Treatment

Patients can expect to gradually see results as they undergo multiple treatment sessions. Results can last up to two years but may vary depending on the patient. Bruising may occur, so patients should avoid blood thinners about 10 days prior to the procedure and don’t have big plans the week after.
