What is a Lipoma?
A lipoma is a benign, fatty tumor usually located between the skin and the underlying muscle layer.
Lipomas usually are typically not tender and will move side to side easily when slight pressure is applied.
Lipoma Treatment
Treatment isn’t needed in most cases, but lipomas can be painful if they contain many blood vessels or press on nearby nerves. If the lipoma is painful or bothersome in appearance, Dr. Kingsley can perform an excision for removal.
