A keloid is a thick, raised scar, usually on the earlobes, shoulder, cheeks or chest. Keloids vary in size depending on the original injury and growth of the scar.

While a keloid isn’t physically harmful, it can cause emotional distress. Dr. Kingsley performs an excision to remove bothersome keloids.
