Affecting individuals of all skin types, skin cancer most often develops on skin exposed to harmful UV rays from the sun or a tanning bed. There are several types of skin cancer found on various locations on the body.

Common skin cancers include melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. Concerning changes to look for include a mole or lesion that is bleeding, crusting, itching, growing or changing colors. Dr. Kingsley performs excisions to remove skin cancer.
